White, Timeless Beauty
Posted in Bridal Bouquet, Wedding IdeasThe idea for creating a day for children to honor their fathers began in Spokane, Washington. A woman by the name of Sonora Smart Dodd thought of the idea for Father’s Day while listening to a Mother’s Day sermon in 1909.
Having been raised by her father, William Jackson Smart, after her mother died, Sonora wanted her father to know how special he was to her. It was her father that made all the parental sacrifices and was, in the eyes of his daughter, a courageous, selfless, and loving man. Sonora’s father was born in June, so she chose to hold the first Father’s Day celebration in Spokane, Washington on the 19th of June, 1910.
In 1926, a National Father’s Day Committee was formed in New York City. Father’s Day was recognized by a Joint Resolution of Congress in 1956. In 1972, President Richard Nixon established a permanent national observance of Father’s Day to be held on the third Sunday of June. So Father’s Day was born in memory and gratitude by a daughter who thought that her father and all good fathers should be honored with a special day just like we honor our mothers on Mother’s Day.
Thus, Father’s Day gives an opportunity to show and express love and care who deserves our support most by giving them a wonderful gift…

Posted in Father's DayThere is this Chinese saying goes “树欲静而风不止,子欲养而亲不在”.
meaning: The wind keeps on blowing while the tree hopes for quietness; children begins to be good to their parents only realize that they were not around anymore.
珍惜今天的所有,不让明天留下遗憾
Cherish what you have today, for there is no regret tomorrow.
Of all the actions of man there is none greater than filial piety.

Some touching stories (in mandarin) to share with you.
Cozy sunday morning, the weather is so good for me not to snuggle with my pillows, somehow I decided to get up early to catch the morning breeze after a night’s pouring rain. After a light breakfast, we drove to the florist and did some final touch up of some flora arrangements, for today was the grand opening ceremony of Melaka International School.
Just then, I saw an oldman….
…in his old bike, selling chicken! In his ice box are slaughtered chickens, and underneath are chickens.. chickens alive!! Those chickens are making the “buack buack” noises!!
The smell came up abruptly when the odor is stirred up by the hyperactive chickens. Getting closer to the ‘antique’ cage to catch a glimpse of the tame chicken for the very few seconds.
Uncle has been rearing his own village chicken, ‘ayam kampung‘ for more than 35 years. With his over-the-years bicycle, and a cute Hello Kitty bag hanging on the handlebars, heading to the market. He will then stays in the market till all the chicken are sold.
Today, without fail, on the way to market, he stopped by in front of our shop. For we have so blessed to meet him today!
Daily Fresh… He is showing us what he has in the ice box, we decided to buy some chicken from him, obviously, not the hyperactive little ones.
“Deal…. This is your chicken!” He seems to has all he wanted for the days.
Love his timeless look.
He is having all the time in the world, for at least earning a living in his own pace, on a quite Sunday morning.
He shows me the meaning early bird catches the worms.
Another passerby, Uncle with all his treasures on a ride. Curiously, I asked myself, is he going to the same market?
Time flies.
Love your parents every minute, every day.

Happy Father’s Day…
Posted in Father's DayMother’s Day, one of our busiest seasons of the year. Most of us eagerly waiting for the day to come, celebrating with their greatest mothers of all. I love those moments seeing the lovely children sending surprise to their Mom! Once, there’s this daughter hugged her Mom and presented her a bouquet of flowers right in our shop! The mother was so touched and basked in cheers!
Here’s some of the highlights of the day.
Bouquets that are ready to be delivered. Some children even send teddies to their Mom!
Loads of orders to be taken care of on Mother’s Day. Flowers are the best gifts for Mom, and carnations, roses, sunflowers, daisies are among their favourite blooms.
Smells great! The fragrance of the blooms brighten up our days!
Oh! So sweet…This cute little young girl is buying the flowers for her grandma!
Just like how you show your love to Mom, do the same for the coming Father’s Day. Give him a BIG surprise!
Posted in Mother's DaySince we moved in at our current premise back in 1984, the folding door has been welcoming friends and customers from all over the world. Can’t believe that that the ‘manual’ folding door has been with us for almost 25 years!! The condition of the metal folding door turns rusty each day by the splashes of rain water, and, not to mention the oxidization of metal in the humid weather.
Thus, we have decided to change the folding door to electronic roller shutter. Take a look on how the roller shutter experts have done a good job!
Gentlemen, let starts the fire….
Never underestimate their power!!
Saying goodbye to the folding door…..
